Terin Porter- Joyful Movement
SATURDAY 10AM WORKSHOP
Dance movement impacts all levels of human well-being: physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, social, and more! People new to dance through advanced dancers will enjoy this 1-hour full-body experience. We will warm up; isolate sections of our bodies; move through various styles of dance in a flowing process; then cool down with a lovely stretch. Embrace the magic one feels while in flow, and benefit from the incredible endorphins released during dance!!

Come one, come all... it's time to redefine what you think is YOGA! Straight from the Himalayas, the techniques we use in this class are designed to wake you up, move your body and change your life — regardless of your previous yoga experience! Expect to breathe deeply using ancient techniques, move intentionally through kriyas and freedom movement, and flow through yoga poses we all know and love.

Did you know that the weekly phases of the moon bring patterns, just like weather, that can affect how we feel, at the soul level? To add a deeper layer, we can overlay our menstrual cycles on top of the cosmic blueprint for a dynamic approach to living life. Each week of each month carries its own energy and it’s time you made the most of it! This workshop is applicable to those of all ages, at all stages of menstrual cycling, including those in stages of menopause.

Karuna Linkhart - Yoga Building Blocks
SATURDAY 10AM WORKSHOP
We will begin with focusing on our diaphragmatic breath and myofascial release of our feet followed by a basic yoga flow to feel into our bodies. Then, after deep diving into some myofascial work again, we will repeat the same flow to feel the difference in strength and flexibility that proper diaphragmatic breath and fascial release creates in our bodies. Please be sure not to eat at least an hour before this workshop for the greatest possible results!

Haley Wilkinson - Bloom & Flow & Sacred Sound and Movement

Bloom and Flow is a mindful practice that combines breath and movement in a synchronizing dance of all aspects of self. We connect to our source through breath and awaken and energize the glow from within. Allow the body to open and the breath to unfold as you bloom into your bliss.
This workshop is a fusion of several yoga technologies that forage a deeper connection to our source. Slow moving vinyasa combined with breath to create an intimate dance with oneself. Our movement flows to a final rest where you then surrender to the sounds of healing vibrations. A number of sound healing tools are used to hold you in a state of bliss to release your tensions and recalibrate your soul.

Ashley Joy Vedrode - Sleep Restorative Education & Kids Yoga Playtime

Yogis will learn the basics of sleep, sleep hygiene, and why knowing all this can totally change your life! Workshop will include tangible techniques like postures and breathwork to encourage relaxation and bliss.
Gathering for younglings to play together and explore their favorite "yoga moves" and how they feel in the body. Activities and style to be determined based on the energy of the group. We may rest and relax and practice our breathing or be wild and get our wiggles out. Additional props and activities like coloring pages and bubbles may be available.

Jenni Bonsall - Shake it off - Trauma Release - Grounding Strength Yoga
SATURDAY NOON WORKSHOP & 3PM MAIN STAGE
Grounding Strength Yoga is a healing emphasis yoga intended to meet you and your body where you're at in the moment. Integrating intentionality and breathwork into your poses helps you to find better balance, more strength and stamina as well as calm the mind. Class is suitable for all levels and ideal for beginners!
Our tissues house more of our traumas and issues than we would like to believe. Luckily we can begin to release these issues through neurogenic tremors and other yoga philosophies. This workshop will introduce you to techniques created by David Bruccelli intended to release stored trauma from our body. Learn about the psoas and it's importance in our recovery and healing process as well as the importance of intention and our own language of feeling.

Simulated laughter is effective in building new neuronal circuitry in your brain that leads to increased sense of well-being, lower blood pressure, better digestive functioning, lessened depression and anxiety, decrease in chronic pain, and a whole lot more!

Acroyoga, already know the basic poses? Work on transitions and washing machines in this intermediate focused workshop. We will focus on developing foundations along with safe spotting techniques to allow continued practice. You are welcome to bring a partner, but this is not a necessity. Donna Lanni - Ayruvedic Remedies & Wisdom Medicine Yoga

Wisdom Medicine Yoga is an all levels multidisciplinary gentle vinyasa experience whereby the student is introduced to the concept that yoga practice can offer the container for healing and, that they (the students themselves) are “the medicine”. Students will also be introduced to Ayurvedic elemental concepts, breathwork, mudra and marma points and will be offered energetic cleansing involving sacred herbs.

Come learn what mudras are, how your hands relate to the cosmos, and why they are a must-have in your yoga practice toolbox. Half discourse and half practice, to give you an understanding and a feel for the power in your hands.
Teal Belz - Buti Yoga

Buti Yoga is a high intensity tribal-fusion yoga class led by Teal Belz. Teal has studied tribal dances from around the world. Her inspiration is driven from the Masai Tribes of Eastern Africa, dance halls of Jamaica, and drumming circles of Nepal. This movement includes drumming, dance and yoga all done to kick-ass jams that send your chakras spinning wild while feeling an ultimate divine high (aka SHAKTI). No experience is necessary! Beginners are welcome. BRING A YOGA MAT AND WATER BOTTLE. YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE TO LOVE THIS CLASS! YOU JUST NEED TO BE READY TO MOVE YOUR BODY AND HAVE FUN!

Our subconscious or unconscious mind is the master behind the curtain influencing all our behaviors, thoughts, likes, dislikes, fears and decisions. The subconscious is constantly communicating with us through our emotions and physical sensations. Jane Reilly - Beyone Kegels

Jane teaches yoga for the University of Alaska, has been active in the UAF Community Yoga Club for the past 18 years, and loves teaching yoga to OLLI students. Her MA focused on the biopsychology of northern stressors which enhanced her interest in the physiology of yoga in practical application. She loves researching the latest journal articles on the benefits of yoga and incorporating them into her teaching. She'll review the latest research on pelvic floor health and demonstrate yoga postures to both relax and strengthen the pelvic floor and its relationship to incontinence.
Taylor Kendal Smith - Rhythm & Rites For Seasonal Living

Learn all about the Celtic wheel of the year! Through observing our bodies' response to seasonal shifts and learning about how our ancestors marked and celebrated the seasons, we grow closer to ourselves, others, and the natural world as we experience time in new ways. This workshop will utilize meditation, visualization, journaling and other activities with a focus on Summer Solstice/Litha and the transition into Harvest season/Lammas.

Kayla Mallioux - Vinyasa Flow

Kayla’s vinyasa class will begin with a brief Chaturanga demo. (Finally learn how to master this arm balance, piece by piece!) Then as we flow, students will move between a sequence of postures using intentional and deliberate breath. Students are encouraged to move at their own pace. This practice will be a moving meditation that creates strength, freedom and fluidity in the body, mind and soul. This flow will provide physical and mental challenges while staying accessible to all levels.

Blossom House Healing Arts is a collective of teachers, artists, therapists, and general members dedicated to the cultivation of healthy communities through trauma-informed yoga, the arts, and other wellness modalities. Together we are a service-based nonprofit offering instruction to youth and adults in yoga and meditation, facilitation of wellness circles, and therapeutic services including trauma-sensitive yoga, applied theatre, creative writing, and other healing works. Our goal is to provide accessible wellness programs to justice-impacted and incarcerated community members in Alaska.

SATURDAY 7PM CLOSING CLOBORATIVE ART
Leslie a licensed professional counselor, and registered board certified art therapist will lead us into a closing art activity. She works as a visual artist in a variety of media with special focus on collaboration and the community. She earned her Masters in Art Therapy from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and continued to work in both behavioral health and technology settings. She combines her experience in art, counseling, and technology, and provides distance teletherapy along with pursuing her own artistic expression. She enjoys being outside in nature and works with natural materials, plein air painting, and painting with wax (encaustic). She is passionate about bringing people together through community art projects and has recently worked with school age youth, Alaskan communities and non-profit organizations serving environmental concerns and also serving people experiencing medical and behavioral health needs.
